What I Do to Pamper Myself

  Pampering is a necessity. Every once in a while everybody needs a pick me up and a little refresher. Pampering routines are different  for each person. Something that may work for you may not work for another person. Today I wanted to share with you a few things I like to do to unwind and pamper myself.


 Create a Cozy Environment 
  The first thing I like to do unwind is create a cozy space. I like turning off the bright, harsh lights of lamps and turning on my fairy lights that give off just the right amount of light to illuminate my bedroom. I then like to light candles. I find it super relaxing to smell something pleasant. I'll also cuddle up with a few blankets/ pillows and put some fuzzy socks on.


 Get My Nails/ Hair Done 
  There is nothing better than getting a fresh manicure or hairstyle. I love how my nails and hair look when I just get them done. It really helps me feel my best when I look my best! Sitting in a salon chair for an hour and a half can be actually quite calming. I usually daydream or zone out when I'm at the salon which is nice because I usually don't have time to as I'm sure you can relate.


 Go Shopping 
  It's so true what they say... shopping really is the best therapy! Why would you max out your card spending it on therapy sessions when you can go to the store and buy your problems away? I swear therapists are going to have to find new jobs! Okay but in all seriousness shopping really is therapeutic. It's so fabulous to treat yourself  to something you've been dreaming about for a long time. Sometimes we work so hard we forget to treat ourselves. Shopping gives you that you time that we all know every now and then we crave. 


 Watch TV 
  I'm a TV addict. I've watched so many movies and shows in my lifetime that you'd be amazed. After a long day I look forward to making a lovely hot cup of tea and relaxing in bed watching my favorite movie or show. There's a sense of comfort knowing that the shows and movies I watch are all fake. It doesn't make me worry or stress out anymore than I already have that day. I really enjoy watching lighthearted films and dozing off into my own little world. 


 Scroll Throw Pinterest 
  I recently created a Pinterest and ever sense than I've been on it everyday nonstop. It's so relaxing scrolling through pretty pink photos and dreaming about gorgeous far away places. I completely see why everyone is so hung up on it. It reminds me of We Heart It which is an app/ website almost the same as Pinterest.
